cruise royal caribbean mediterranean
In August 2011 Jenny and I took a very enyoable two week trip on the Independence of the Seas with Royal Caribbean International with two friends.

This web report is about that trip and reflects my opinions. Hopefully it will provide an insight into the cruise experience for others.

Overall view:
Overall an excellent cruise. Great entertainment, great food, great cabin. The flowrider was in full use and the over 60s got to test their surfing skills as well as the kids.
The sun decks were a little crowded on good sun bathing days. Also the indoor seating was a bit limited when the weather was not good enough for sun bathing!
The food in the main full service restaurant was generally first class. The occasional wobble was very minor and the staff would fix any problem very willingly.
The food in the buffet restaurant was also excellent, particularly the Asian food. Crowding never a problem but you sometimes needed to be sharp to grab a table.

Overall a great cruise but it's a big boat with lots of passengers!
