About the site
To encourage ballroom dancing.
Social ballroom dancing is great fun and great exercise in a very socialable atmosphere. This site hopes to give people some initial help in getting along to their local dance school and to get dancing.
If more people get to enjoy social ballroom dancing then maybe it will grow as a social activity. The dinner dance will become popular again.
A chance to dance.
If the site is successful and the membership grows perhaps we can bring together enough dancers to organise a few of social dances. There are plenty of good venues available.
All it takes is to build up a mailing list, hire a dance floor, book a DJ and get dancing. It shouldn't take a lot of effort.
It would need probably only 40 or 50 couples in a local area willing to support it.
How can you help?
Intially just support the site by telling your friends. If you and your friends are interested in future social events just sign up to the site. I promise your email will not be forwarded to any other parties. If you sign up you will receive an occasional email with news of the sites progress. You can unsubscribe at any time.
