The Basic Ballroom Box Step
Ballroom dancing down to the very basics.
The ballroom box step is a simple exercise but it is the kick off point to many of the dances. You need a little floor space and shoes with not too much grip. Trainers tend to grip too hard and make ballroom dancing very hard work.
Stand nice and tall. Do not stare at the floor or your feet. Stand with both feet together, knees slightly flexed.
Left foot - step forward
Right foot - step to the side (about 30cm from your left foot)
Left foot - bring it together next to your right foot
Good so far?
Right foot - step back
