The Dances
The Waltz or more correctly the Slow Waltz.
The Slow Waltz is the classic elegant dance of whirling couples.
The basic steps to the "1, 2, 3" rhythm are very simple to learn. Add a simple turn and the dance becomes fun. Then add the equally simple reverse turn and the dance becomes elegant and fun. Add the simple whisk and chassis and it becomes impressive. "Wowing" your friends!
The Quickstep.
The classic fun travelling dance. You can beat up the floor with this one.
The basic forward and back is a very easy, infamous "Slow, Slow, Quick, Quick, Slow, Slow, Quick, Quick, etc.". Add to that the lock step and its fun. Add to that the spin turn and WOW its great fun.
The Cha-Cha
A ballroom dance with a Latin root. The "1, 2, cha, cha, cha" rhythm can be sung by all of us. It's in our soul.
The basic rock forward-back, cha, cha, cha, rock backwards-forward, cha, cha, cha is simple and fun. Add a New York fan and its immediate fun. Add a few more simple twist and turns and its a great chance to strut your stuff.
